Grain outdoor flooring
The grain variation and character of our Mixed Grain Douglas Fir Flooring (Pseudotsuga menziesii) makes this our most popular flooring grade. In lengths up to 14′, we often mill this as wide-plank flooring. Large slabs show off the wood’s rich old-growth nature and rustic lastlife character. Choose a rough-sawn surface or smooth-sawn. Small to medium sized knots, tight and mostly checked. Expect nail holes, nail stains, and other signs of this old wood’s previous life.
For all flooring, we always suggest you schedule delivery to the site at least two weeks prior to laying the floor. Flooring should be laid as per install guidelines of the National Wood Flooring Manufacturers Association (NOFMA).
